Earthquake Insurance

While we know that everyone is being price conscious, we did want to include information about earthquake coverage since we have had an influx of earthquakes lately in our operating region. Did you know that Earthquakes are not automatically covered by every policy?

If you are worried about the potential damage an earthquake may cause to your property, earthquake coverage is an endorsement you can add to your property policy.  The typical deductible is 10% of your property coverage (so if your home is insured for $150,000 then your deductible will be $15,000).  The cost of this coverage typically runs between $150-$300 on your homeowners policy while the cost for your commercial buildings vary.
